A Forest is a work in progress started in april 2013.
“The starting-point was the reading of Berlin Childhood, by the German philosopher Walter Benjamin, in particular when he says “Not to find one’s way in a city may well be uninteresting and banal. It requires ignorance, nothing more. But to lose oneself in a city – as one loses oneself in a forest – that calls for a quite different schooling. Then, signboard and street names, passers-by, roofs, kiosks, or bars must speak to the wanderer like a cracking twig under his feet in the forest – After reading this book, I started to see the city I live in a different way; I started to dismantle the city as I liked and, through my photographs, try to build a new one, that change continuously. So these photographs shows only few of the many existing levels of the forest, but they try to create another one, imaginary, one and only” (F. Musu).
