“I sink in the night” is a project that made me return to a place where I spent a good part of my childhood, a place where I grew up and learned many things that I still carry with me today.
At the time I could only be in this yard during the day and I always had the curiosity to explore it at night and see what differences stood out.
Now years later I went there to take photos and feel the nostalgia combined with the discovery from a predominantly different place during the night. Not much has changed, but at night it absorbs the sensation of the presence of other living beings that are replaced by an extremely silent place with lots of light coming from streetlights electric lights that make up for the lack of daylight. I was stuck that uncertain night in place that I saw growing up.
