“I felt loneliness after a long time of being alone in my small Paris apartment. Suddenly, with no witnesses around, I began to see the space, which I had previously perceived as routine and completely uninteresting, in a different light. For example, I started noticing unconventional light sources that could be used as creative tools: light from the window, from an old dusty lamp, even from the refrigerator or microwave. And so I began my experiment with lighting, objects, and shapes that I could find in my apartment, without adding anything new. I made it a rule to limit myself to this space and the tools I could find within it (I don’t even have a tripod) to extract as much pure creativity as possible from this experiment. With this project, I want to illustrate that the intimate space and everyday objects we surround ourselves with can become powerful tools for self-expression.”
