Athens, the urban theater of my life – by Yannis Filandros: “Athens is the urban space in which I live, move and grow up. This city is the theater of my personal history, a theater of western secularism and eastern romanticism. I seek the depth of memory and space, the experience that this relation produces. Photography motivates me to think my personal history compared with the history of the city. It pushes me to behold details and to attempt to make an “artistic” synthesis creating photographic documents. The city becomes the scene on which I unfold histories”.
